In a casual yet elegant atmosphere, set in a recently remodelled century old historic train station, Claire's passion is great food and outstanding service. Offering contemporary American cuisine - local, seasonally focused - with a Southern flaire. The renovation honors the historic character of the Warrenton Train Depot, resulting in a warm, comfortable environment for casual meetings with friends, or special occasions and intimate family meals. The warm, elegant Garden Room provides seating for intimate meals, while the Tavern Room features a more casual dining experience in luxurious surroundings. A rotating selection of craft beers is available on tap, and the wine service is regularly expanded. Outdoor dining is available in season, and private events can be hosted in one of several areas in the restaurant. Awarded "Best of Warrenton" every year since 2006.

    Shrimp Cobb Salad was delicious, even though the plate had an over-abundance of lettuce. Bread pudding desert was great but discovered a hair in the desert which caused me to cease eating. Garden Room is a great setting. Wait service is excellent. Parking is generally a nightmare.

    Our server was cheerful and prompt. The food was delicious. We have always enjoyed the various entries, for lunch or dinner. The food varies by the season and is delicious.

    Was there for lunch on a snowy day and the burning fireplaces made it so cozy. The she crab soup was fantastic and a must have for me. Had the quiche of the day and it was delicious but so large I had to take part of it home. I have never been disappointed at Clare’s..from service, ambience and the food it is always top notch.

    We had a belated Valentine’s lunch sitting at a booth in the bar around 1p. One other couple was who left shortly thereafter so it was quiet and perfect. I’m lactose intolerant and was very happy with the rainbow trout special $24 with addictive real bacon bits. The chocolate flourless cake was dairy free and so rich and decadent on raspberry coulee. Lovely ginger champagne cocktail with rhubarb bitters and a lemon twist. My husband was just as happy with his lobster ravioli $21 and bread pudding.
