   We made the reservation a month in advance and specifically requested in the special requirements to celebrate a birthday and honeymoon in the flower room. However, we were seated near the entrance by the window, and there was no festive Easter atmosphere, which was somewhat disappointing.

   Beautiful decorations with Easter theme, very relaxing atmosphere, fantastic service and excellent food. Good value for money, had the set menu lunch. Loved this experience and will return!

   I loved the ambience, food and service was excellent but was just a little disappointed that as it was my big birthday this was not recognised by the restaurant as usually is the case!! Even the lady on the next table had a happy birthday treat brought to her table!! I was just a little surprised! However the restaurant was spot on with everything else!

   Had always walked past thinking Clos Maggiore might be a tourist trap given it's location in Covent Garden and somewhat over the top frontage, but finally gave it a try and it was much much better than that. A wonderful atmosphere inside, very high quality food (especially good value as a pre-theatre 3 courses for under £40), friendly and attentive staff. We didn't have the best table being up against the end of the bar, but to be honest everything was so good. Will definitely be back, and that's the best we could ever say.

    I have been a visitor of Clos Maggiore on many occasions pre-covid, I think the restaurant has been a major casualty of long covid to be frank, I don't often complain but the change regarding the standard of food is phenomenal in a bad way. Presentation one star, food temperature one star, taste of food one start, hard carrots, fit for the Easter Bunny theme around the place, cold truffle mash, very very underdone pasta for starters service however 5 star from the main waiter, who needs to find a new role somewhere where the food matches up to his 5 star service. When asked if everything was okay when I was about to pay the bill, had not entered the golden pin number yet mind you, I said the food was cold and the 'red haired waiter replied there is nothing I can do about that now, I should have removed the service charge TBH but I left it on there because of the service from the main waiter. My granddaughter did not eat her starter, she barely ate her main but no offer of can they get her something else, had a salad of giant lettuce in keeping with the Easter Bunny theme again she is 11 but has a very sophisticated palate so does know what is good tastes and looks like we went to a certain hotel restaurant in Westminster a few days before initials NHC also offering a set excellent value for money but still offered a 5 star al al carte experience, so can be done for those even on the set menu, this is my final visit to Clos Maggiore I am afraid, such a shames as I used to love the place. Not sure what has happened here, it was a let down never again. Had I paid the al la carte prices this review would have been a lot more critical.
