Clos Maggiore is an oasis of calm in the heart of Covent Garden. Influenced by the stylish country inns of Provence and Tuscany its unique interiors create a warmth and intimacy enjoyed by both business and private parties. The conservatory has a fully retractable glass roof creating a bright and airy dining space. Our extensive cellar at Clos Maggiore includes over 2,000 labels and was extended earlier this year to include an additional 400 wines at a low – mid price range. We are very proud to have been awarded the “Best of Award of Excellence” consistently since 2003 by Wine Spectator.

Details Pre-Theatre, dining experience of 1 hour 45 minutes. Available Monday to Sunday 5pm to 5:45pm. - 2 course set menu including a glass of bubbles at £32.50 per person, excluding discretionary service charge at 12.5% - 3 course set menu including a glass of bubbles at £39.50 per person, excluding discretionary service charge at 12.5% - 48 hours cancellation policy from the date of booking, cancellation this period will incur a charge of £40.00 per person to the card provided. - We welcome children above the age of 14 years.

    The food was very average for the price. The starter was very cold. The beef main lacked flavour. It took a very long time to get the deserts and the coffee we ordered, we had to ask 3 times. The bill was also wrong, the restaurant had already taken £200 from my card but then it hadn’t been taken into account when the bill arrived, the bill also had an extra meal on there we hadn’t ordered. Unfortunately, overall not a great experience despite the ambience and the decorations.

    I would like to preface this by saying the wait staff were very kind and attentive to start, however this dissipated after we were served our mains. The restaurant service was like a conveyor belt and honestly felt a little uncomfortable. My partner and I ordered the pre theatre set menu and although ‘a glass of bubbles’ was advertised this was not given to us. We were at our table for two hours and half an hour after we finished our main course no one asked us if we wanted to order dessert - it felt like we had been forgotten. We had a theatre show booked after so could not keep waiting around. Our meal cost £170 and the food was pleasant enough (perhaps not worth £170, but we did order a bottle of rose). The restaurant overall is aesthetically very nice but I can’t say I’d be in a rush to return.

    We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation and it took 25 minutes to be seated. We weren’t at a great tables so they gladly moved us to a different table upstairs. The service overall was pretty poor, with wine being served when we were half way through our mains. The food was good until desert, then our bread and butter pudding was served cold and didn’t taste good so they thankfully took this back. This meal was to celebrate our engagement and was just overall disappointing after wanting to visit for years.

    Such a beautiful restraunt and experience! The food is always phenomenal and the whole restraunt is absolutely stunning especially at Christmas time!! We had a lovely time!

    We went during Christmas, and the decorations inside are beautiful! Such a vibe! The service was good although we didn’t see too much of them. Our wine was superb, the macaroni app was okay, but our beef entrees were definitely over cooked and had an almost funky taste to them. I would 100% recommend this place for drinks and dessert or apps, but go somewhere else to get a better value for your meal!
