Clos Maggiore is an oasis of calm in the heart of Covent Garden. Influenced by the stylish country inns of Provence and Tuscany its unique interiors create a warmth and intimacy enjoyed by both business and private parties. The conservatory has a fully retractable glass roof creating a bright and airy dining space. Our extensive cellar at Clos Maggiore includes over 2,000 labels and was extended earlier this year to include an additional 400 wines at a low – mid price range. We are very proud to have been awarded the “Best of Award of Excellence” consistently since 2003 by Wine Spectator.

Details Pre-Theatre, dining experience of 1 hour 45 minutes. Available Monday to Sunday 5pm to 5:45pm. - 2 course set menu including a glass of bubbles at £32.50 per person, excluding discretionary service charge at 12.5% - 3 course set menu including a glass of bubbles at £39.50 per person, excluding discretionary service charge at 12.5% - 48 hours cancellation policy from the date of booking, cancellation this period will incur a charge of £40.00 per person to the card provided. - We welcome children above the age of 14 years.

    A fantastic experience, among the best of fine dining available. The aesthetic and atmosphere is beautiful & relaxing, the tables are spacious and we didn’t feel clustered in at all. The food was beyond delicious; from the duck, pork & chicken terrine with pickled vegetables, to the mouth-watering venison flank (cooked to perfection) and outstanding truffle mashed potato. The staff were lovely, especially the manager of the night who was attentive, respectful and generously assisted when I asked for a video for a special occasion. The gentleman who sorted our drinks (especially pairing a lovely Bordeaux to my venison and a Chablis to the chicken dish) was also wonderful. For special occasions, this is a truly lovely place.

    A couple of key negative points to highlight, which would have otherwise been a great evening and meal. Firstly, don’t turn up early for your table as there’s extremely limited space, forget a nice drink at the bar. Secondly and most importantly, I have never felt so rushed through mine dinning experience, which lasted 50 mins through Three courses. As soon as the staters were removed, the mains were being presented.. This is so frustrating as the meal was excellent..

    Everything is perfect except my table is next to the corridor. I already make a reservation in advance but unfortunately, it can’t help. Maybe I need to book much more early.

    Dishes are a bit old style except for the steak tartare which was surprisingly interesting. Homemade pastry were not to expectation or seem not made on the day. Service could be better and less haughty as the restaurant is not deserving such attitude. airco during winter was too cold. Atmosphere is very nice though and worth to be seen. Overall over rated but still nice to visit once

    Service was great and attentive food come out good timings. Would have preferred to of sat near the fire but still lovely decoration. Just wasnts blown away with the food as expected.

    A few niggles. We were waiting over 20 mins after our booked time before being seated. Also, it was assumed that our party would want the alcoholic drink. We had someone in our party who's in recovery so would've been nice to have been asked. Saying that though after the meal they did become niggles. The food, service and atmosphere was lovely.

    Excellent ambiance and the pre theatre menu is very good value for money. We were celebrating a birthday and i had hand-painted something as a gift which i has presented to my friend until seconds later the waitress slammed the bill on the table (which we hadn’t asked for) and said she’s leaving the bill because the next guest had arrived. By then we had overstayed our assigned time slot by exactly 1 minute and my friend was unwrapping the parcel. The gift presenting moment was special and emotional one for us but ruined it all for being rushed out the way we had been. Very inappropriate and not in line with what Clos Maggiore purports to be.
