   Great experience from start to finish. Food was fresh and the flavors were outstanding. I can see why this place has been around for 30+ years. Will return soon.

   Coastal Grill is the best fine dining restaurant in Hampton Roads, from the Chef and team to the servers, valets, and hostesses. Coastal Grill never disappoints, and we love it!!!

   Had dinner on a Tuesday evening and the restaurant was very busy. Lots of people celebrating birthdays and other events so it was a little noisy but not overbearing. We ordered the new banana old fashioned which was very good. We tried the Caeser and the Bibb salad with warm bacon vinaigrette, both very good. Dinners included the tuna, duck and crispy salmon. All were delicious. The duck originally came to the table overdone, but without us saying a word, the manager came to the table and replaced the duck with the properly cooked duck as ordered. That is great service! Jake was very helpful and attentive, we will be back!!!

    The Coastal Grill usually provides a 5-star experience but came up a little short this time. The service, including the friendliness of the host, was off, the music was too loud, and the duck was overcooked.
