Classic, consistent, upscale cuisine is offered in a well-appointed, unpretentious setting in this top-notch nosherie. The beautiful bar invites easy conversation and casual dining. Located on the affluent Great Neck corridor in Virginia Beach, just three miles from the Oceanfront, Coastal Grill is as famous for what isn't on the menu as for what actually is. Owner Jerry Bryan with Executive Chef Maureen Cucchiaro and Chef de Cusine Brad Bates at the stove, offer an extensive list of "blackboard specials," always with a nice assortment of freshly caught regional seafood. This locals favorite has received critical acclaim since its inception over 25 years ago, culminating in being voted the Number 1 Restaurant by Hampton Roads Magazine.                                               Our server Adam was excellent. The calamari and bib salad were excellent. Had the steak. Was just ok. The acorn squash was delish but only after I poured out all the butter and brown sugar puddle in the middle. Will be back but will know to order sauces in the side

                                              Awesome dining experience from making the reservation to leaving the restaurant. Food was delicious & well presented, server was amazing - so knowledgeable, helpful & attentive- valet greeted us with a smile. Look forward to dining there again soon!

                                              Ate in the East Dining wing and it was great. Less noise and wonderful service! Food was delicious. We had trout, branzino, and lamb and everyone enjoyed their selections. Highly recommend!

                                              We had a wonderful dining experience! The valet was friendly! Our hostess was great! The server and the manager were wonderful! Our food took a bit longer that usual but our server and the manager kept us informed and apologized profusely. We enjoyed the food and the wait was fine especially since they acknowledged the wait and apologized. This is five star customer service which is so rare these days!

                                              It was my first time to try this restaurant. I was in town for a business dinner and it was recommended by my client. The restaurant was a great place to conduct business. The noise level was low and our server knew when to interject without being obtrusive. The food was fantastic. I recommend starting with the baked goat cheese appetizer. I had a delicious Caesar salad followed by the salmon. Both were great, the salmon was cooked perfect and accompanied by the best butternut squash I’ve ever eaten (don’t tell my mother-in-law). I highly recommend this restaurant and I will be back when I’m in the area next.

                                              The food was amazing. Everything was excellent. They accommodated my seasoning preferences and low sodium needs. Even with this, the food was flavorful.
