We are an interactive culinary environment.

At our restaurant we create and interpret the culinary ideas inspired from different cultures, products, and techniques. Our always evolving menu is a result of the interaction and interchange of different experiences.

An open kitchen, eclectic and without limitations.
Because cooking is our passion.

Historically cooking evolved through the interaction and exchange of cultures. Through this premise and advances in technology our project, Cocina Abierta, was born, designed for the sharing and development for our passion.

At the school we offer cooking classes for cooking aficionados. We reveal all of our secrets and we create the dishes shown on our website and blog.Cocina Abierta also offers a boutique deli with a selection of homemade gourmet products. You will find a selection of breads from around the world and variety of jams, artisanal cheeses and meats, chutneys, and pates. Sweets, chocolates, and baked goods are available.

Had a fantastic time here for New Year’s Eve! We had to do the 5 course pre-determined tasting menu which we did not realize, but it all ended up being wonderful. Included a gazpacho shot to start, a crab papaya salad, ahi tuni with plantains, snook buerre blanc, beef filet, and a chocolate dessert. Truly all so so good. Service was wonderful as well and drinks were delicious. Highly recommend, especially considering this tasting menu is $85 and other places we were looking at for NYE were much, much pricer.

Hard to think of a better dining experience. We will always try and get a table at CA when we are in town. Amazing food. Best cocktails we have had yet on the island. Great service — Megan and the whole server team were wonderful! And fantastic value for the money. An absolute gem.

Delicious food and great service for the NYE menu. The wahoo fish was our favorite. Service was very attentive and friendly.

Everything was great as far as flavors and ambiance! But the staff was kinda of on the rude side which was a huge turn off… Sad to see what was once a great place (been here multiple times) start to go down simply because of rude staff!

Amazing from start to finish! Hard to pick a favorite course. The Tonka Truck drink is a must have! I’m still dreaming about it!

Cocina Abierta is one of our go-to special occasion places. They offer a five course prix fixe menu with the options for each course. The courses can be ordered separately if desired. The chef focuses on local and native produce and the menu changes frequently. They also offer cocktails and wine by the glass, or a well-chosen wine pairing (strongly recommended).

Food is really good! I don’t eat mushrooms but I find the sauce made with mushroom pretty delicious. Maybe the beefsteak is a bit salty but it’s fine overall.

Cocina Abierto was exquisite! From greeting to the intimate ambience, excelelnt service, thorough explanation, rapt attentiveness, the meal was everything I could have wished. The portions were perfectly sized to leave you satisfied and lead up to the last act ready to experience the final dish. I'll definitely be back to have another experience here.
