We are an interactive culinary environment.

At our restaurant we create and interpret the culinary ideas inspired from different cultures, products, and techniques. Our always evolving menu is a result of the interaction and interchange of different experiences.

An open kitchen, eclectic and without limitations.
Because cooking is our passion.

Historically cooking evolved through the interaction and exchange of cultures. Through this premise and advances in technology our project, Cocina Abierta, was born, designed for the sharing and development for our passion.

We reveal all of our secrets and we create the dishes shown on our website and blog.Cocina Abierta also offers a boutique deli with a selection of homemade gourmet products. You will find a selection of breads from around the world and variety of jams, artisanal cheeses and meats, chutneys, and pates. Sweets, chocolates, and baked goods are available.

La comida tiene buen sabor, pero las porciones son tan ridículamente pequeñas que no vale la pena. Los platos "fuertes" tienen apenas media onza de proteína. Hay un menú de degustación de $85 p/p, pero esa opción la incluyen en la esquina inferior derecha del menú, chiquitita. Si para salir satisfechos hay que comerse los 5 platos, por favor, digan que es un menú de degustación y ya. Fue una experiencia ridícula. La comida sabe bien, pero no es la gloria para tener esos precios. Antes Cocina Abierta servía platos de restaurante fine dining, caro pero era un plato que llenaba. Esto que están sirviendo ahora es un chiste de mal gusto: $200 para terminar con hambre en el supermercado. Vergüenza total.

Eclectic food but tasty. Items are expensive...glass of regular water $3.50! Interesting drinks and unique food.

The food is modest and incredibly expensive. It is tapas and must order 5 courses. We ordered 3 plus 2 drinks for $179 before tip. Would not recommend

Great dining experience! Service was excellent and friendly and the tasting menu and cocktails were wonderful. Would definitely go back. Highly recommend.

Had a fantastic time here for New Year’s Eve! We had to do the 5 course pre-determined tasting menu which we did not realize, but it all ended up being wonderful. Included a gazpacho shot to start, a crab papaya salad, ahi tuni with plantains, snook buerre blanc, beef filet, and a chocolate dessert. Truly all so so good. Service was wonderful as well and drinks were delicious. Highly recommend, especially considering this tasting menu is $85 and other places we were looking at for NYE were much, much pricer.

My third time to this gem was during an island-wide blackout on New Year's Eve. The staff (and generators) worked furiously to ensure everyone's special night out still happened. What a superb response to an unfortunate situation in San Juan. The hostess who worked overtime to ensure everyone felt welcomed, and the wait staff were in top form. The food was outstanding as usual. An unforgettable night.

Hard to think of a better dining experience. We will always try and get a table at CA when we are in town. Amazing food. Best cocktails we have had yet on the island. Great service — Megan and the whole server team were wonderful! And fantastic value for the money. An absolute gem.

Delicious food and great service for the NYE menu. The wahoo fish was our favorite. Service was very attentive and friendly.

Everything was great as far as flavors and ambiance! But the staff was kinda of on the rude side which was a huge turn off… Sad to see what was once a great place (been here multiple times) start to go down simply because of rude staff!
