We are an interactive culinary environment.

At our restaurant we create and interpret the culinary ideas inspired from different cultures, products, and techniques. Our always evolving menu is a result of the interaction and interchange of different experiences.

An open kitchen, eclectic and without limitations.
Because cooking is our passion.

Historically cooking evolved through the interaction and exchange of cultures. Through this premise and advances in technology our project, Cocina Abierta, was born, designed for the sharing and development for our passion.

We reveal all of our secrets and we create the dishes shown on our website and blog.Cocina Abierta also offers a boutique deli with a selection of homemade gourmet products. You will find a selection of breads from around the world and variety of jams, artisanal cheeses and meats, chutneys, and pates. Sweets, chocolates, and baked goods are available.

My husband and I had a great experience at Cocina Abierta. I’m so glad we decided to do the tasting menu. It came with 5 courses and all the foods were super delicious. In addition, the service was wonderful. All the staffs were very friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend this restaurant, and if you go, don’t hesitate to do the tasting menu. You won’t regret it 😉

Amazing experience. Excellent service, we oh dered off menu rather than doing the tasting menu. Every single dish is exceeded expectations. Go ! You will not be disappointed!

With a complex changing menu like this, you want your server to fully describes dishes, make you fall in love with the concept but it wasnt like that. Our server brought the prologue (appetizer) before explaining that if you order the “maridaje de vinos” it doesn’t include a drink for the prologue so we ate the croquetas with a glass of water. That was terrible. Two out of the five course entrees where very good, 2 were okay and one of them was actually very bad. The ambience and the concept is great but extremely overpriced for the overall experience. At some point a small worm fell on out table but we don’t know where it came from, we didn’t say anything to the server but wow…Would not recommend.

It was a 5 course experience with some of the best dishes I’ve ever tried. I was truly impressed by the knowledge of food origin and preparation by every person that came to our table. Absolutely incredible.

Long waits for over priced uninspired food. 2.5 hrs for a combined total of 25 minutes of eating and it was not very busy.

We were visiting from chicago and this was our first stop once we landed in PR. Please sit at the bar, the bartender Rafael is super passionate about everything he does and taught us so many new things! We had an amazing experience, the food was delicious and flavors well thought out with ingredients I’ve never tried! And the drinks all super refreshing also using locally grown produce and herbs!
