The Columbia is Florida’s Oldest RestaurantSM, founded in Tampa's historic Ybor City in 1905. Family-owned and operated for 119 years, the restaurant has earned acclaim for old-world charm as well as for its award-winning Spanish/Cuban cuisine and wine list.

Open 365 days a year, including all holidays and serving lunch and dinner daily.

Casual attire is fine, but we don’t allow sleeveless shirts on men in the dining room.

Experience the Fire of Flamenco!
Flamenco Dance Shows: There is an $10 cover charge per person for guests over the age of 12.

Monday through Thursday dinner reservation times for the 7 p.m. show are 5:30, 6 or 6:30 p.m.

Friday and Saturday dinner reservations for the 7 p.m. show are 5:30, 6 or 6:30 p.m. and for the 9:30 p.m. show, seatings are at 8:30 or 9 p.m.

Reservations for dinner and the show are required. Please call the restaurant to check availability for reservations.

    Huge portions! The tableside 1905 salad is a must. So simple in gradients but 10/10 taste. My son and I had the shrimp appetizer in garlic butter. So good! And they give each person their own personal bread and butter upon sitting down.

    We have dined at this specific location on many occasions and always had a wonderful experience from start to finish. This time however was terrible. The service was an epic failure. It was one hour before we even had a piece of bread to eat. The appetizers were cold by the time they arrived at our table. We saw the tray traveling around the room to several different tables before heading back in the kitchen. After 15 mins they finally arrived at our table. Cold of course , so I sent them back. Our waters weren’t refilled. Our tableside salad was a failure because the server spilled half of the dressing on the tray before it could make it in our salad. We requested a new one. It took 20 mins to get our drinks. I spoke to the manager about the issues and he did send new appetizers and salad. If this was my first experience I would never come back. But since all of my other experience were stellar I will return because this was not the norm. The food was outstanding as usual.

    We were seated near the bar and enjoyed live music throughout the Friday evening meal. Our server was excellent and attentive, but he was stretched very thin in our section. Food was excellent.

    Aaron was wonderful and we enjoyed his history lesson of the restaurant. The White Sangria and Mojito was great. Food was excellent, tender, perfect temperature nothing needed to be added. Highly recommend making a reservation, but if you don't it is well worth the wait.

    My husband sister and daughter and I had a wonderful time at Colombia last evening! The food was superb, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect! We look forward to celebrating another Friday evening at Columbia again soon!

    We booked in advance which was an awesome experience. Hostesses upon arrival were very welcoming. Thank you for that They had put a postcard on our table signifying a birthday, which was mine. My birthday was never acknowledged by our waiter or anyone who can’t to our table which was a’bit disappointing. We were also on our way to a venue at the Amilee Arena but wanted to celebrate our afternoon with a late lunch. Service was ok, could have been better. My dinner 1905 salad arrived way late, after those seated after us had gotten theirs, which means it came just before our dinners arrived. My husband’s Arroz con Pollo (chicken with yellow rice) came out cold. Our waiter was no where to be found so had to tell someone else ..they also brought it back out. He finally came over to check on our meals. We also ordered another pitcher of sangria which turned out to taste better than the first one we had which had a tart taste to it. Second one was exactly like it should have tasted (we frequently come either to this one or St Armands) My dinner was good, a’bit salty for me but nonetheless good..the tenderloin steak pieces were perfectly cooked with a nice pink center. My husband and I then ordered and shared a piece of key lime pie as we finished off the last of our sangria. Will we be back again, yes. Just because we had a mediocre service/food/time at this visit doesn’t mean our next will be.
