Welcome to Copperwood Tavern, located in Shirlington Village. Our menu offers an array of scratch-made dishes and seasonal flavors along with a selection of handcrafted cocktails, 20 Virginia craft beers on tap, and an extensive selection of bourbons and Virginia wines. Copperwood exudes a cozy cabin-style vibe; great for a date night, business lunch, or weekend brunch with the family.
Join us weekdays for lunch, happy hour $2 oysters from 3-6, or dinner!
On weekends we offer brunch from 9am-4pm featuring classics such as chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, and bananas foster French toast along with a selection of brunch libations.

    We enjoyed our extremely attentive and wonderful server and the food was quite good. The fried green tomatoes starter was a real treat, and the other dishes we had - a steak and a caesar salad were just lovely.

    Outstanding! The general manager was so kind and helpful. He went above and beyond to make sure my mom and daughter had an amazing experience and exceptional service! They enjoyed their meal! Everything was wonderful!! Thank you!

    We both ordered the veggie spaghetti and added some protein. The dish was delicious but the shrimp was a tad over cooked, My friend added salmon and it was a little fishy.. Next time I’d order without adding anything.. Service was great. Fun ambiance for a casual winter lunch.

    Had the short rib grilled cheese…$19… pretty skimpy on the meat portion…needed A1 sauce or horseradish sauce…needed help…fries were ok…

    the food was excellent and the overall service was first rate. Brunch had a large verity of offerings and I would rate the value as a 7 out4 of 10.

    This was my second visit to this specific establishment. I ordered the steak omelet and so did my daughter. We were somewhat unimpressed with them, mostly egg and not much flavor. The service was very good and we will return in the future. Happy new year!
