    Lovely food, great location, mostly attentive service. It is expensive, but you get what you pay for. My only gripe is that it took nearly 20 minutes for the bill to arrive despite a couple of chasing requests.

    Coq d’Argent offers a superb escape from the busy streets of London. This ambience is great with a very friendly staff. The service and food is absolutely great. The bar area is a must - we were lucky with great sunny conditions and enjoyed some afternoon cocktails. The only negative experience this time was the neighbouring table. Two girls in their mid twenties very occupied with their cell phones and TikTok videos. One would expect that the staff, in a friendly manner, would comment on this - especially when the volume on music videos was annoyingly loud. Anyway, Coq d’Argent is a top experience. We are definitely coming back.

    In terms of service we were largely ignored for the evening which was quite interesting as folks who were dressed in suits received far more attentive service. We were here on an impromptu date night so weren’t in post work attire. Booked for a set menu on opentable but arrived to be told such a thing wasn’t available so had to order a la carte. Had to wait 15 minutes before getting a copy of the wine list, asked to speak to the sommelier but he was too busy dealing with tables in suits so got one of his team. The chap’s knowledge seemed limited to Cabernet Sauvignon is full bodied. The main sommelier is normally amazing and has recommended several cracking wines in the past so this was really frustrating. The food was good but overall this was a very disappointing visit.

    We had a lovely waitress and the food was excellent. Unfortunately, we had two instances of extreme rudeness from two members of staff. One when we were stood in the garden and one, more serious when we were challenged while returning to our table. The Manager was called and assured us that it was unusual and would be dealt with but definitely ruined the enjoyment of the evening and the meal.

    Overall, an Okay experience. We were there for the 'express' lunch, express it was not. Had to walk out before deserts as we had been there over an hour and just didn't have time. I appreciate that the sun is out today, but it shouldn't have been that much of a surprise. Food was good but as we had to leave the deserts behind, the lunch wasn't as good value. And extra things had been added to the bill without our knowledge/consent. This just added to our time hanging around.

    Lovely birthday lunch with friends. The team were really wonderful- the lady at the door, Caroline our waitress, the security guard at the elevator all very personable and made us feel very at ease. Delicious food and service was on point. Thanks for the thought of the candle and sweet birthday treat. Very kind. It is always lovely to have a celebration at your venue, which i have done before. thank again. Gale
