Since the Romans left, the Italians have been operating a policy of conquering the world's palate, plate by plate, and traditionally-run family restaurants like Cotto are their failsafe. The welcome is unfailingly warm here, the decor is authentic in feel, with murals on the walls, and the pleasures of the table are taken seriously indeed. Cotto is a 5-minute walk from the London Eye and the Aquarium, perfect for before or after family outings and it's also very popular with business customers during the week. There's live music on offer, too. As for the menu, try classic Tricolor salad to start, one of more than a dozen pastas, like Spaghetti carbonara, and a main course of simply and beautifully grilled Sirloin steak. Or just opt for a pizza and be happy!

          Perfekt bei Zöliakie, Chef ist selbst betroffen. Er steht auch selbst im Lokal und kümmert sich um die Gäste und plaudert. Sehr nette Restaurant-Erfahrung in London, ich komme wieder.

          Thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Cotto. Food was great and so nice to not be in a chain restaurant. Was meeting family from Scotland and we all said was Cotto was a great find!

          It was a joy to find such an outstanding gluten free restaurant within walking distance of the London Eye. We were celebrating my coeliac son’s birthday. There was a huge grin on son’s face on realising that he could safely choose everything on the menu. He indulged in a scrumptious pizza. The menu is in two matching halves, one is GF. There are two kitchens so you can be certain there is no cross contamination. The non GF pizza was also delicious. We were greeted with a warm friendly welcome from the proprietor, a fellow coeliac. Anecdotes were swapped and enjoyed. I hope to return whenever I’m in the area. Thank you to all at Cotto.

          Absolutely amazing! As a coeliac, I felt so well looked after as the owner has coeliac. The service was brilliant, the food was delicious, even my muggle family enjoyed their’s so it’s perfect for everyone

          Cotto was a great find. The owner and staff are very attentive and friendly. The majority of the menu is available to coeliacs with a few exceptions. The gluten free bread, made in house, is delicious, I’d say the best I’ve tasted. It was great knowing I didn’t have to worry about what I was ordering and eating. Well worth visiting if you are in London.

          We visit here when in London- great place to eat good Italian food. The patron is always there to greet and make sure you have an enjoyable meal. Staff are wonderful, food excellent.

          Cotto was incredible. It honestly felt like we’d left london and stepped into a little piece of Italy! The staff were so lovely and chatty, and the food was just impeccable! Honestly the best Italian food we’ve had since being in Italy itself. I’m celiac and it’s so unusual to be able to enjoy anywhere that’s really authentic and not a chain. But 90% of the menu was gluten free so I could fully enjoy the experience. I also don’t eat much meat but there were plenty of veggie options too. We chatted with the owner while we were there and he is celiac himself so it feels very safe from a celiac perspective. Highly recommend!
