We have been to CR's on 2 prior occasions with good experiences. I even wrote a great review once. Unfortunately last night was extremely disappointing and I am not sure we will ever go back. We went to celebrate a milestone birthday, and in the reservation notes to the restaurant conveyed as such, requesting a nice table in a quiet corner. The host did not even acknowledge the request or occasion, and attempted to walk us to a tiny table jammed in a spot close to many parties blocking the walking late around the room. They had the back section of the dining room closed, probably to save heat and keep everyone closer to the servers and kitchen, and that they did, herding everyone together like cattle. We redirected the host to the table we want and she took us there. The server arrives, pleasant and professional, we place our order. The Caesar salad took an unusual long amount of time to arrive, but fortunately was the best part of the meal. We finished that and waited again for a very long time, our entrees arrive, both were cold on arrival (vegetables, protein, starch). I had the Lamb, which although was cold, at least was not overcooked and it was seasoned well, but the rest of the items on the plate were drowned in salt - the coos coos covered in the saltiest black olives (which tasted like they came from a jar) and the sauce splashed around the lamb and plate. I woke up this morning feeling dehydrated from all the salt. As I said the plate and everything on it were cold. My wife had the Beef Tenderloin which came with mashed potatoes and green beans, all of it very cold. Also disappointing, her cut of beef was very chewy and poor grade quality which should never occur with tenderloin. Finally the dessert, the apple cranberry crisp, which was pretty good but unfortunately had a scoop of Richardson's ice cream on it. If you aren't going to make your own, at least buy something with quality ingredients-Richardson's is loaded with corn syrup.
