It is our pleasure to welcome you to Cucina, our kitchen, our cuisine. Our food is based on the philosophy of “less is more”, allowing amazing ingredients to shine through preparations rooted in elegance and simplicity.     The lousy Service leaves a Bad taste in my mouth that their quality coffee and food can’t remove. My experience was very disappointing, and a little embarrassing, after suffering extremely poor service at Cucina who refused to honour my 10AM reservation for a Client Christmas Coffee meeting. Despite having 5 people who were “only” going to order coffees and snacks, they said the restaurant (which was 1/3 full at best) was only for people ordering a full breakfast. They said to go to the takeout bar, order takeout and sit outside the restaurant. Merry Christmas!!! Ridiculous!!!! I spent $60+ for 5 lattes, some croissants, and a sandwich which isn’t enough to, apparently, justified them having them spend time serving my clients and I. Go to EAT, OEB or even Barcelona if you’re looking for a nice spot to enjoy a coffee with a client. Heck, Starbucks upstairs treats you better.

    The crispy shrimp were amazing, satisfyingly crispy crunchy and juicy, with a sauce that was mildly spicy, just the right amount. The little gem salad was fresh, cheesy, not too much dressing, and the best bacon crisp things, I forget the name of them. The burger and fries were heartily approved of and satisfied a 6'5 tall man. Wine and prosecco selections were great, and an after dinner Hot Buzz coffee was addictively good, and kept the evening floating along merrily after dinner. The chocolate cake with sour cherries and ice cream was light yet pleasantly rich at the same time. It was a Saturday at 6pm, and it was quiet, great for easy conversation. Will be back for the shrimp.

    Unfortunately we had to cancel at the last minute due to extenuating circumstances. But I've been several times before and I know the food, service, and atmosphere are always top notch!!

    The pasta was bland this time and unfortunately the service was quite slow. Had to get up and get out own stuff at times from the service station. But I understand it’s hard to find service staff in the current times.
