The Twits Afternoon TeaOpening from 1st August 2024Muggle-Wump brownies, Jam Roly-Poly sponge and our Trick or Twit scones – indulge your inner child and enter into the story of The Twits with our deliciously themed Afternoon Tea inspired by Roald Dahl’s iconic book.Items include a rather wonderful new take on Wormy Spaghetti (‘Hampshire’ Cucumber Worms, Cream Cheese, Wholemeal Bread), Mrs Twit’s Bird Pie (Chicken, Leek & Ham) and a culinary exploration of Mr Twit’s beard across three separate savories. Sweets are inspired by much loved characters, the Muggle-Wumps and the Roly-Poly Bird and of course no afternoon tea would be complete without scones though, there’s a twist!     Absolutely fantastic experience for 2 Twits loving kids - and their mums. The artwork and attention to detail was fantastic and the tea room set up was so pretty. Food was fun and delicious - The Twits would have been proud. Service was great and the staff were so lovely and accommodating with nothing being too much trouble. Thoroughly recommend.

    I celebrated my birthday with afternoon tea at The Library at County Hall, and it was a lovely experience. From the beginning, all the staff were very attentive, friendly and responsive. They brought out a special birthday dessert with a candle, on the house, and wrote a thoughtful birthday message in a card - which was a lovely surprise and made my birthday special. The sandwiches were fresh and tasty, with different flavours, and the scones were fresh and not too sweet and tasted great with the fresh vegan cream and fresh jam. The other pastries and desserts were amazing, they tasted fresh and light. It was very relaxing sitting there with a view out to the Houses of Parliament and the Thames, and was fairly quiet though I did go on a weekday Thursday so may be busier on weekends. Thanks for a great birthday afternoon tea to all the staff at the Library!

    Jack was an amazing waiter. Food was amazing. Mushroom toast, gnocchi, and ribeye all delicious! Fondant au chocolat was also delicious.
