The food was excellent had the Colombia smash burger it was the best burger ever, beef gorgeous burger sauce just right and egg on top. The staff at the Edinburgh restaurant were friendly, polish and excellent service, not rushed.

Love the Basement! The staff are always excellent and full of fun and enthusiasm. The food is scrummy and the margarhitas are brilliant! I regularly eat and drink at the Basement, although I am a pensioner the vibe always makes me feel good!

We absolutely love this eatery and would highly recommend to anyone who wants good food in a casual laidback “rock and roll” atmosphere. You will not get better fried chicken anywhere in Edinburgh. The staff are always super efficient and friendly without being over attentive.

We had booked an outside table as this was all that was on offer but Rory was very accommodating and noticed he could place us inside. Such a friendly and welcoming vibe. The music was at just the right level. The place was bouncing but we could still have a conversation. We just had a light bite but the popcorn chicken was to die for and the cocktails are superb. If you like rock, blues, good food and good vibes you’ll love it here
