A typical food love story. A boy meets a girl while eating pizza. He attends culinary school and open’s a pizza restaurant named after the girl. Thus bringing us to Emily! The Manhattan iteration of the Brooklyn based pizzeria centered around a historic brick oven and comforting food. Emily has earned a following for its signature Detroit-style pies and award winning burger. The pizza here is rectangular (not round) and utilizes the "frico" technique, in which cheese is drizzled on the edges of the pie to create a crispy brown exterior. Beyond the main event, the menu extends to include salads and sandwiches, which shouldn't be ignored (think an attention-grabbing burger and a top-notch spicy fried chicken sandwich). Please note, there will be a time limit of 1 hour 30 minutes for guests so we can fairly utilize our limited capacity. Our outdoor dining is enclosed with heaters that will keep you toasty! We are a first come first serve all day restaurant. Walk-ins of all party sizes are encouraged at any time!Completely unplanned, our doors opened because two brothers went out on a limb. You see, Pete and Dave were artists who fell in love with a quiet street in the West Village called Carmine. They couldn't exactly call themselves business-savvy, but they didn't lack in the creative department. Through the years, they built a neighborhood staple that houses great eats, solid drinks, and an incredible community. We've since made homes in four different corners of NYC. We arrived at our reservation early and they allowed us to go ahead and sit. Such a warm, friendly restaurant! The appetizers (delicata squash and meatball sliders) were delicious, as was the special ravioli, roast chicken, risotto, and all the desserts! The only underwhelming dish was the daily fish, but it really didn’t matter because everything else was so great. We felt super welcome, even with two young kids. Please go visit them if you want a special meal while in NYC!

Spécial Thank you to the manager who made everything possible to get a table for 5 when we booked ( not easy as the Space is limited and christmas is a busy day). We come from France. The food and the atmosphere are excellent. We had great time there. We Will come back !
