Way back in 1975, the Sail Loft lit the fire for Steve Silverstein, who went on to open nearly 40 restaurants. Located in the quintessential seaside village of Padanaram, it was the neighborhood place where you could get a good (strong) drink, chef prepared comfort food and relax in a convivial atmosphere with familiar faces. The Sail Loft was everyone’s favorite place; it was a hangout where some came for food and others for drink.When the Sail Loft became available in 2021, Steve jumped on the opportunity to take the wheel. Steve and his wife Judy transformed the Sail Loft into an elevated neighborhood restaurant with a distinct updated boatyard feel. New Beige is offering a dinner for two special and my friend and I decided to meet and eat! Excellent value with wonderful options to choose from. Love New Beige for cocktails and food, coffee too. My ONLY complaint (& I do mean the only criticism I have) is I wish the lighting was more kind or dimmed. Every time I have been there it is just so bright. Would make for a better vibe if the lights were dimmed and the music was more chill or lounge-y. I will always return. Even though.

Outdoor deck is heated. Very pleasant for lunch. Food is always good. Scallops and risotto were tasty. Good beer selection.

The downstairs experience is like a total Boston speakeasy vibe!! The lighting, booths, and just all around vibe was the perfect mix. The food was above expectations and the martini was *chefs kiss! Perfect for girls night, date night, or just a nice meal.
