Once again Skratch is a local favorite… we tried the eggplant appetizer perfect amount of each ingredient Not bitter and had a slight crunch which was unexpected but very enjoyable … Chicken savoy is the best we have ever had as always a favorite … better than Belmont tavern which says something! Hats off to the chef

The Thanksgiving buffet was great and I don’t think I’ll ever want to cook at home again! We completely enjoyed the turkey and stuffing, the mashed potatoes, gravy, sprouts, sweets, Mac and cheese, salmon, ham, roast beef, in short, everything. Nice, friendly service, and it was nice to be able to hear one another at the table. Seating was very comfortable and nicely spaced. A hit for our party of 6!

Dining at The Grand Tavern is always a highlight for us. Sitting at the bar is a favorite, where we enjoy the perfect blend of ambiance—soft lighting, subtle music, and just enough lively chatter to make it cozy yet vibrant. The rotating menu keeps things exciting, while classics like the burger and pork chop are reliable staples we return to time and again. We make it a point to try a new appetizer each visit, and The Grand Tavern never disappoints. From innovative starters to thoughtfully crafted cocktails, every bite and sip feels like an experience. Wrapping up the meal with their featured dessert is a tradition we look forward to. While it's on the pricier side, the exceptional food, inviting atmosphere, and top-notch service make it well worth it. It's one of our all-time favorite spots for a dinner date—a perfect mix of comfort and sophistication. Highly recommend!

servers are always happy and helpful. front greets you with “happy”. ocean ave stompers are fabulous. great vibe!

My entree was a very small portion of polenta and shrimp, about 6 shrimp on a bed of polenta. Not sure why it was called shrimp and grits. Also the shrimp had the tails on so I had to pull them out of the sauce to eat them. The service was ok, the waitress takes your order and bus boys do everything else.
