It all started in 1992, when Annette and Gerner Andresen opened the Lighthouse Café in Sausalito in its present form. The Andresens, both born in Denmark, had recently immigrated to the U.S., and along with them they brought the Scandinavian flair for simplicity, good quality and tasty food. The café has over the years become famous for its breakfast and lunch, with American classics like good old-fashioned burgers and a great selection of omelets, along with Scandinavian classics like Danish Meatballs or Norwegian Salmon.     Everything was fantastic! Service, food, value, atmosphere. Everyone was so sweet and accommodating. Felt like we were welcome family. The taste of everything was delectable! So many great options. Would highly highly recommend for a date night or gather! Can’t wait to come again!

    A while back, I cannot book reservation on Open Table app the time we wanted but I still booked at a later time. When I called the restaurant directly, the hostess was able to adjust the reservation to the time we wanted. We arrived to our reservation at 12:30 pm today. The hostess Daria was so accommodating when I asked to change our table to a better view of the water. The server was nice explaining the good red wine on the menu according to my liking. I ordered the recommended Meiomi red wine. It was light to my taste which was good. My friends got white wine and Irish coffee. For starters we ordered the Horseradish Deviled Eggs with Bacon and tasted good. My friends ordered the same Crab Cake Benedict and Classic Eggs Benedict. I got the Pan Seared Jumbo Sea Scallops over the risotto. The whole food was delicious. The interior ambiance was beautiful. The service was superb. A few times I visited the restaurant in the past and I don’t mind returning for occasions or just to hang out with girl friends. I recommend The Trident restaurant even it’s a drive to Sausalito from different angles of places.

    We had a wonderful time and ate great food and drank delightful cocktails !! What else could be desired from a dining out experience ?? The atmosphere/ ambiance is so enjoyable ! We LOVE the music and the decor and the views !! Staff are attentive and very amenable. The mixologists know their stuff and the food we had was delicious !! We relaxed , smiled and enjoyed every moment !! Oh and foot tapped and sang along to the excellent music !! Great vibe in this place !!
