Located in the Deep Ellum neighborhood, Komodo Dallas features an ultra-contemporary exterior facade that gives way to an inviting indoor-outdoor flow. The restaurant takes visual cues from its homebase, including Komodo’s signature illuminated “bamboo” cutout columns and duck display windows. From there, pops of saturated color are added, such as with the lounge’s eye-catching wallpaper and a dramatic fabric-draped corridor. Komodo Dallas spans two stories and seats up to 274 diners across tabletop, booth and bar seats.Komodo Dallas’ menu offers delicious takes on Southeast Asian dishes, all of which have been developed and interpreted with a global approach. The result is a unique dining experience, ranging from regularly rotating specials to house favorites such as Salmon Tacos, Miso Chilean Seabass Skewers, Peking Duck, and Daring Plant Based Kung Pao Chicken. Shinsei Restaurant - Traditional Sushi / Contemporary Asian KitchenWhen we came up with the concept of Shinsei we wanted a place that reflected our lifestyles: sometimes we went out to dinner with our kids and sometimes with our friends and husbands. We wanted to create a place where a night out with the kids didn’t mean food adults had to suffer through or a night out with the parents didn’t mean a stuffy place where kids had to wear a scratchy clip-on tie. Shinsei is just that: a neighborhood gathering place with date night appeal. But not so unexpected that you won’t be able to decipher the menu or recognize your favorite dish.     Such great service! Our 2nd time here, love the octopus appetizer. Great change to the bread option. Chris was great server, very attentive. Kevin our previous server came by to say Hi and chat with us too!

    One of the best Asian fusion experiences I’ve had in awhile. Everything was bursting with flavor. Quality was great. Decor was beautiful and immersive and music was fun. We went on a Sunday pretty early so there was no wait, but I was told reservations are encouraged due to the small size of the restaurant. The cocktails were also delicious! Highly recommend!

    I enjoyed my experience at Komodo The cocktails are 10/10 I had the ginger passion fruit mule , very refreshing My husband had the lychee temptation and he enjoyed it as well . For appetizer we had Shrimp Tempura and Wagyu steak dumplings, they were absolutely delicious. Main course : My husband ordered the Wagyu Tomahawk steak with surf and turf fried rice. I didn’t care too much for the service b/c they do get very busy and our waiter forgot a couple of things but in return we were given free Komodo shots which were so good , I also forgot to mention they gave us complimentary champagne ( we were celebrating our wedding anniversary) Will I return ? Absolutely !

    It flat out amazing as always. I’ve been going to Uchi since the original one opened up in Austin. I will always be coming back. Also our waiter so very kind and knew the menu inside and out. Even letting us try his favorite dish! 10/10
