Always stellar. The server treated us with two pieces lump crab roll since our favorite foie gras is —understandably—no longer available.

My 2 girlfriends & I had an amazing dinner experience. It was our first time dining at Makiin. The minute we walked in the door, the atmosphere felt warm & inviting— beautifully decorated. To start, we all ordered some mango cocktails, as recommended by our friendly & courteous waitress (Nan), which was very delicious. We then ordered 3 appetizers (papaya salad, fried dumplings & some other fried flat bread (?), 3 main dishes (shrimp drunken noodles, pumpkin & chicken curry, and mussels) to share, along with a sweet rice & mango dessert. The pumpkin & chicken curry and shrimp drunken noodles were the 2 star dishes for us. We plan to return.

Love this place everytime! Amazing service and food. One of the best sushi spots in town.

Great ambience with intimate / lounge vibes. Good food and very attentive service. Parking in open lot, garage or street.

Very elegant, albeit small, swanky little lounge! Great music, strong drinks and very friendly and energetic cocktail waitresses. My only negative would be that the tables are very close together, and not very easy to get in and out of because of this reason. Other than that, I would absolutely be back. I’d say it’s a definite hidden gem in the Post Oak area.
