Located on Chelsea’s Park Walk, HUŎ opened summer 2021 to critical acclaim. Showcasing a unique blend of clean, fresh and healthy Asian food, dishes on Head Chef Yam Bahaeur Gurumg’s menu are all prepared from scratch using traditional Chinese, Thai, Malay and Singaporean disciplines. Favouring a balanced choice of snacks, small plates and mains, highlights include Soft Shell Crab, Siu Mai, Stir-Fried Beef Fillet with Spicy Black Pepper Sauce and Triple-Cooked Dover Sole with Asparagus, Garlic & Chilli. Driftwood colours combined with an abundance of natural light, ensures a fresh and airy ambience and on warmer days the restaurant's frontage is fully opened up serving as the backdrop to several pavement tables and a small terrace. Following the success of his first restaurant in Vauxhall, chef and founder Ajay Chaurasia has opened a second site in Wimbledon, bringing his own personal take on Indian cuisine to South-west London. On offer is a range of lesser-known regional dishes along with plenty of tried-and-tested favourites so there’s something for everyone at this bright and cheerful restaurant. Chaurasia’s aim is to bring together flavours from all over the Indian continent, Sharing appetizers includes the likes of king prawns (Tiltala Jhinga) and sticky tamarind wings with avocado chat - a contemporary spin on the classic street food snack. Tandoor highlights include Murgh Hariyali Tikka, which is grilled chicken breast marinated with fresh green spices and yoghurt, as well as vegan options, too.     Had a fantastic meal at Chet’s, a Thai-Americana gem in Shepherd’s Bush that blends the bold, smoky flavors of Southeast Asia with the nostalgic comforts of a classic American diner. I went for the BBQ Rice Bowl with Grilled Aubergine (£12)—a deliciously smoky, well-balanced dish that really hit the spot. My friend had the Tuna Melt (£16), and wow, this wasn’t your standard sandwich! The tuna larb filling, packed with mint, coriander, red onion, and Kewpie mayo, was next-level. Add melted American cheese and a crispy, golden bread exterior, and it’s easily one of the best tuna melts I’ve tried. The coffee was great, rounding out the meal nicely, though I wasn’t the biggest fan of the crisps on the side—just a personal preference. Overall, a fantastic spot with unique flavors, a cool vibe, and well-executed dishes. Would I return? Absolutely.
