Next Door is the sister restaurant of Margaret, which, quite literally, sits next door to it at the corner of Bay St and Guilfoyle Avenue. Featuring a rolling 12-hour lunch-to-dinner menu, the bar brings you a selection of specially curated small plates such as Woodfire Grilled Peppers, Cherry Tomatoes with Oregano, Braised Zucchini with Mint, Chilli and Pecorino, as well as an amazing selection of Consorcio, Cuca, Pollastrini, Ortiz and Real Conversas tins with some freshly baked sourdough from Baker Bleu. We had an excellent lunch today. The octopus was presented with a delightful charred flavour, adding a smoky depth that was simply irresistible. The snapper was sweet and juicy, perfectly cooked, and seasoned to perfection, standing in stark contrast to the often tasteless and dry fish found elsewhere. The strawberry Eton mess was beautifully presented and perfectly balanced, ending the meal on a high note. Overall, this restaurant truly deserves its high reputation.

The last time we dined at Doyle was 30 years ago when we lived closer, we enjoyed out delicious meals, we were seated out front, so we had a good view of the harbour. our French waitress we very friendly and efficient. We will be back.

Was greeted with a smile by a friendly/welcoming maître d who also seemed to be in charge. Service was excellent. Very friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Food was good, but a couple of items missed the mark.
