We had an absolutely fantastic evening at Ember in Hertford! From start to finish, everything was flawless. Ryan provided exceptional service, ensuring we were well taken care of throughout our visit. The food was simply outstanding. The oysters were incredibly fresh, the mackerel was packed with flavor, and the steak—wow—easily the best we’ve had in Hertford! Every bite was perfection. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a special night out. My partner and I were so impressed that we’re already planning our next visit. Highly recommend Ember to anyone looking for top-quality food and excellent service.

Great menu options, something for everyone and the food is delicious. All staff were welcoming, friendly and polite. Would recommend

Had a very lovely lunch with friends yesterday and we were all very impressed with everything ! The food was stunning, best steaks in Ely by miles ! Loved the Stilton cauliflower cheese - nicking that idea ! Staff were great , the owner very visible and chatty too.. lots of upstairs seating too which was a surprise so will make a lovely place for an evening meal- very intimate , quaint atmosphere . A breath of fresh air for Ely and can’t wait to return .

Lovely lunch if a little noisy as it was packed on a Wednesday lunchtime. Chef did the linguine with tomato rather than cream for us and it.was yummy! Thank you. Managed half a crumble each and that was lovely too.
