Our speakeasy bar Síbín is an intimate drinking den, hidden within Great Scotland Yard Hotel, influenced by the illicit bars that originated in Ireland around the turn of the seventeenth century, where whiskey and poitin (commonly referred to as Irish moonshine) were the drinks of choice. In our bar every cocktail tells a story so, we would like you to enjoy the drinks based on the stories of one of the biggest criminal gangs in English history.The 40 Elephants was an all-female organized crime collective active in London's Elephant and Castle District from at least 1873 right into the 1950. They specialized in shoplifting, with some blackmail and extortion thrown in to make them particularly badass.This gang was notable for its longevity and skill in avoiding police detection. Their most notorious leader, Diamond Annie, was known by the London police as "the cleverest of thieves".Forty Elephants funded a life of decadence in London roaring twenties, hanging about the glamorous hotels, bars and theaters they could only dream about before their turn to crime.Glamour was both a goal and a smoke screen for the Forty Elephants, through which they created their own thrilling world of fashion. money, and fame.

    Nice place with an incredible bar and cocktail menu. The service is warm and concerned. The atmosphere is suitable for small tables. The cocktails ans whiskies menu is very interesting and plenty. Now, depending on the area you are the chitchating of others may become a noise. Be aware. Two things to improve, from my modest point of view: some tables need better light to be able to reed the menu proerly and please reduce the amount of ice on the cocktails: makes difficult to drink.

    Lovely experience with my family at the Rose Lounge on Christmas Day. They offer a vegan tea, that accommodated my daughters, and regular tea for my husband and me. All of the food was delicious. The interior is quite festive and the waitstaff superb. They were thoughtful enough to prepare a birthday treat for me for my birthday, which is on Christmas Day. Excellent!

    Fabulous cocktails…just fabulous! Unexpected ingredients skillfully married with ones more familiar in cocktails revealed some exceptional flavors we had not experienced before. While the ones we chose were not spirit forward, we were still thrilled and added another each beyond the “just one drink” intention we went in with. Getting first hand details on how our cocktails (we had Coffee, Pear, Peach, and Apple) were made gave some insight into the differentiated way that Adam and team curate their cocktail menu compared to other bars. Sure, you can have a spirit-forward drink and leave a little loopy anywhere, but the unexpected is what makes life and trying something less ordinary so exciting. Great job Eve Bar team!

    My OpenTable booking had not been received by the venue. They had no record of it. Fortunately the kind staff were able to accommodate us on a busy evening, which is what I had booked. 0 stars for opentable
