Inspired by yakitori izakayas, Big Night is going to be putting seasonal British-ish produce on sticks and cooking it on our charcoal grill. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OUR HEATED AND COVERED TERRACE FOR GROUPS FROM MULTIPLE HOUSEHOLDSBarbeque grew up in the South of the USA where cooks learned to slow roast cuts of meat over fire pits to make them tender. Exposure to the smoke of the smouldering wood added a distinctive smoky taste to the meat. The process could take many hours, leaving the meat tender and juicy.Our award-winning smoker has been imported from the USA and is built to recreate the cooking process of those original fire pits. We use the traditional American woods of hickory and mesquite to give a full smoke flavour, and the meat stays in the smoker for up to 16 hours.

Have been visiting Red Dog at Hoxton square since they launched, but we had a long hiatus since 2020 (boo-hiss). Me and 4 mates, all BBQ lovers with an assortment of eggs and offsets to smoke at home came for a catch up. Buffalo wings have always been a stalwart starter at RD, the burned end nuggets are an amazing addition to the menu, and the sausage platter all went down well; great spice levels in the morcilla. Shared a platter and some full cuts for mains; brisket was excellent, other cuts great, pork ribs were the only slight let down without much flavour- sauce to the rescue. Great service from our lovely waitress who had to put up with our table's antics, all in all glad to be back to a great venue with some great meat dishes.
