Opened in 2017. Michelin-recommended since 2022.We first imagined Aloette to be the perfect diner that we’d want to dine in – a menu with a great burger paired with a fantastic and fun wine list, a long row of bar stools facing the bar and the kitchen, and an energetic atmosphere accented with an old school hip hop playlist. The buzz of the dining room mirrors the energy of the street on Spadina Avenue; the dining room itself mimics a train’s dining car. It’s kind of a bistro, kind of a diner, internationally inspired menu which is also representative of the diverse culture in Toronto.Brunch at Aloette was something we said we’d never do. But the city kept asking and we’re glad to be a new staple in the Queen West neighbourhood for mimosas, chicken and waffles, and piping hot coffees.     We had a lovely experience at Cluny on a Saturday night. The French Onion Soup, Lobster Bisque, Steak Frites, Salmon Tartare, and Asparagus Frites and elderflower mocktail were all wonderful. We’d go there again in a heartbeat!

    We celebrated my birthday here and I am so happy I chose this restaurant. Every item of food we ordered was delicious, our server Kenny took great care of us and the ambience was wonderful. The menu was just right with the different food items offered. It was not complicated and easy to order from. I hope to revisit again and recommend it to our family and friends. My husband and I enjoyed the evening so much and I was served a chocolate cake with a lighted candle. Love the name Lapinou.
