A Classic French Bistro in the heart of Edison Park has been a dream of Executive Chef and owner Joe Calabrese for several years. Joe was professionally trained at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America located in Hyde Park, New York. Before opening his other restaurant, Zia’s Trattoria (located one block west of Café Touché at 6699 N. Northwest Highway) in 1997, he was sharpening his professional – and knife – skills at several well-respected Chicago dining establishments including Ambria, Spiagia, Un Grand Cafe and the Park Hyatt.

After spending a lot of time in the area, we had notice that our love of South American food was not only underrepresented but nearly nonexistent. There are some wonderful restaurants in the area, but none that offer authentic food from the southern continent. Juliane did a great job - her service was appreciated (especially by my 84-year-old mother). The pate appetizer was wonderful and the freshly baked baguettes were outstanding. Thank you for a lovely mother daughter granddaughter lunch.
Little Ggem was perfect. The mocktail drink were fanastic. The food was almostly delicious not a crumb left on our plates. The atmosphere and noise level made talking with each other in our group so easy. What a lovely spot for a fabulous and reasonable night out.
An upscale menu with great execution. We started with the butternut squash galette - superb combination of flaky crust, sweet chili drizzle, and roasted butternut squash. For main dishes I had the faux filet coupled with creamy potato puree (ie mashed potatoes). I’ve never had creamier potatoes. My husband had the salmon filet which was perfectly cooked. We would definitely visit again.
