Claudio Pirollo grew up in Belgium where he soon discovered his passion for cooking as he wandered around his father’s fine Italian épicerie (grocery store) and watched his mother prepare dinner every day. The dual influence of Italy and Belgium triggered Chef Pirollo’s aspirations to develop his knowledge and experience with different flavors.A Trattoria is not a pizzeria, it is an Italian-style eating establishment that is generally much less formal than a ristorante but more formal than an osteria. Over priced. The food was ok, but not exceptional. The Beef Stew meat was clearly gristly, even though it was chewable due to long slow cooking. Our order of mussels was delivered with the wrong broth and spices. Good, though. Great beer. Decent fries.

First time — Burgers/frites were very good. Salad Verte had the best flavors. French onion soup — excellent. Service was even better. Will return.

We enjoyed our birthday celebration at Pinstripes, but I have one suggestion. The "truffle fries" were very disappointing - not tasty or hot. They were thinner than shoestring size and not at all appetizing. I recommend you rethink that offering. Everything else was very enjoyable.
