Le Garrick, located in London's theatreland, is an intimate French restaurant. There is a homely restaurant at ground level, while at lower ground level the friendly bar/dining room has intimate nooks and booths for romantic moments. Expect classics and favourites of French bistro cooking; Faux filet Rib Eye or Onglet with sauce poivre or Béarnaise & French fries. For pudding choose from Crème brulée or Lemon tart among the classic desserts. The 2/C prix fixe menu is a lifesaver pre-theatre. In an area that's full of chains, Le Garrick is a one-off. Tucked away down Dean Street amongst the hustle and the hipsters is the Pierre Victoire, one of Soho’s favourite dining institutions. This little haunt has been serving up rustic French cuisine to loyal regulars for nearly 3 decades, and this is still one of London’s favourite places for date nights and cosy pre-theatre meals. Part Provencal, part Art Nouveau, the dining room at Pierre Victoire is decorated with whitewashed walls, chalkboard menus, a vintage piano, eclectic artworks, untreated wooden floorboards and wine bottles stuffed with drippy candles, and the wholesome home-style cuisine and moreish wine is all delightfully affordable. With a steak-centric menu, Pierre Victoire also serves all the French classics, creative salads and plenty of seafood.

    Pretty, ambient dining room with comfortable seating. Set lunch options are good value. Excellent, attentive service: special shout-out to the lovely Anna whose sunny, helpful personality enhanced the lunch experience.

    REALLY ENJOYED everything about Bistro Freddie. Nice greeting on arrival Beautiful setup inside the restaurant - White table cloths always a good sign. Great server who was very mindful of myself and partner… and didn’t rush us or push us into extras Wine not insanely expensive. Food - BEAUTIFUL. Bill - Well I didn’t begrudge it at all - so that’s good Overal. A splendid Monday evening.

    We ate here on a busy Thursday night, yet the service and quality of food were excellent. The crab maison was delicious as was the beef cheek bourguignon. My wife’s mushroom cassoulet was a revelation - she really thought that the spicy glazed fable mushrooms were sausages. Our amazing server Evelyn explained all about them - she really knew the menu and she was attentive to everything we needed. An excellent evening.
