World-renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten has opened his eponymous restaurant, Jean-Georges at The Connaught, this summer.Overlooking fashionable Mount Street in the heart of Mayfair, the restaurant will offer all-hours, informal gourmet dining in a relaxed, contemporary neighbourhood setting.The eclectic, imaginative menus are inspired both by Jean-Georges’ experiences of the Far East and his signature use of South-east Asian flavours, whilst also featuring his distinctive take on British and Connaught classics, from fish and chips to traditional afternoon tea, influenced by his earlier working life and love of London. Sourcing the best of British ingredients, the menus will also reflect the simple farm-to-table, fresh-from-the-market approach long pioneered by Jean-Georges, and found at his restaurant at The Mark and ABC Kitchen in New York.

Le Garrick, located in London's theatreland, is an intimate French restaurant. There is a homely restaurant at ground level, while at lower ground level the friendly bar/dining room has intimate nooks and booths for romantic moments. Tucked away down Dean Street amongst the hustle and the hipsters is the Pierre Victoire, one of Soho’s favourite dining institutions. This little haunt has been serving up rustic French cuisine to loyal regulars for nearly 3 decades, and this is still one of London’s favourite places for date nights and cosy pre-theatre meals. Part Provencal, part Art Nouveau, the dining room at Pierre Victoire is decorated with whitewashed walls, chalkboard menus, a vintage piano, eclectic artworks, untreated wooden floorboards and wine bottles stuffed with drippy candles, and the wholesome home-style cuisine and moreish wine is all delightfully affordable. With a steak-centric menu, Pierre Victoire also serves all the French classics, creative salads and plenty of seafood.
