Grumbles was the first restaurant in London with a silly name!In the early days as we rushed around the tables, we hardly had time to notice the faces of the likes of Beatles, Mamas and Papas, Julie Christie, Michael Foot, Christine Keeler, Ian le Frenais, Rod Steiger and so many many more as well as Jane Lapotaire sometimes helping with the Founder Jeremy Friend washing up!Grumbles and its customers have been such a winning combination for over 60 years and we thank you for all your support.

Le Garrick, located in London's theatreland, is an intimate French restaurant. There is a homely restaurant at ground level, while at lower ground level the friendly bar/dining room has intimate nooks and booths for romantic moments. Expect classics and favourites of French bistro cooking; Faux filet Rib Eye or Onglet with sauce poivre or Béarnaise & French fries.     Christmas Eve early dinner post show at the Bridge Theatre. Food excellent and service was attentive and good without being intrusive. Good location near London Bridge station and the river. Can recommend.

    On arrival, a very stylish lady called Monica led us to our table and with great warmth said I understand it is someone’s birthday and can I pour you a glass of champagne. That was it - instantly myself and my guest felt welcome, special and very happy to be there! I had stated in my booking it was for a birthday but I was still highly impressed with that immediate attention to detail. It set the tone brilliantly and it really made my day. Our original waitress was excellent too - very on the ball though unfortunately I did not get her name. We had a fabulous lunch, great food and a lively, fun atmosphere. The staff are generally very good here but a special thanks to Monica who is excellent at her job. I will most definitely be back and soon.

    Lovely local restaurant in Chelsea .. my 3 rd visit …service is always really good .. we had 2 young children with us who were hungry and tired… the waitress was great bringing their food out first and giving them coloring books … one knocked a drink over which was cleared up and replaced straight away … would highly recommend
