Claudio Pirollo grew up in Belgium where he soon discovered his passion for cooking as he wandered around his father’s fine Italian épicerie (grocery store) and watched his mother prepare dinner every day. The dual influence of Italy and Belgium triggered Chef Pirollo’s aspirations to develop his knowledge and experience with different flavors.A Trattoria is not a pizzeria, it is an Italian-style eating establishment that is generally much less formal than a ristorante but more formal than an osteria. Even after not having been here in a long while, it's still charming, warm, and the food is exuberant.. if food can be that!! Wine also great and it was not an expensive one either. Service was attentive, quiet and professional. Great spot to go for dinner for any occasion but know it will be worth it. Noise level increased because a big party at a long table nearby but even so, we were able to carry on a conversation pretty well. i'll be back and it will be sooner.

For a treat to yourself go to Claudio's Table, a little pricey as everything down to the bread is a la carte...however, it is excellent! My short ribs were perfect and my mom's branzino was grilled to a moist and delectable turn....be ready to spend >$100 for two and save room for dessert.

Et Voila continues to be a welcoming restaurant with quality food and wine/bar choices. I appreciate a restaurant with a good chateauneuf-du-pape by the glass! The carbonnade and our other main course selections were excellent, with the fries always outstanding. My mom loved her baked escargots. The floating island and chocolate mousse are our constant go-tos that never disappoint. The interior room was a bit hectic for an early seating but we put that down to it being Christmas Eve.
