The Woollen Mills has been one of the most iconic buildings and businesses in Dublin for over one hundred years, and to have taken over this site is a serious privilege. Much like our award-winning sister restaurant next door, The Winding Stair, we feel like we are custodians of something very special... a piece of history (James Joyce worked here, how unbelievable is that?!) and we must do it proud! Spanning over four floors and with a glorious roof terrace overlooking the River Liffey. The Woollen Mills is quintessentially Irish, local and of its locale. Happy Out is adding another string to its bow and taking on the Dublin brunch scene. At the weekend there will be an adventurous brunch menu with a variety of coffees and brewing methods to explore. During the week, we will be giving the people what the want; coffee, toasties and a full breakfast menu.There are seats in the middle around the open kitchen so you can enjoy the hustle and bustle of everything going on. We had crispy chicken and fries then for dessert we had cake and cappuccino. The ambiance was warm, the fries and chicken was the best. The staff, very cordial and professional. I highly recommend and would be visiting again.

Really enjoyed our brunch. Staff member who seated and served us was welcoming and efficient. Caesar Salad and Burger & Chips were lovely, and both were served as generous portions with good quality ingredients. Will definitely return!

Ver enjoyable. All predictably lovely. We had a great ivy breakfast and coffee. The table for three could be a tad bigger. Difficult to fit everything on it. Otherwise no complaints
