So you ask why Wanda Byob? Wanda Pollyana Boos/Lipot was my Mother and my inspiration to become a Chef. Wanda was an amazing cook who actually had some serious training in her country of Trinidad and Tobago. In fact, one of my most prized mementos is my mother's... her cooking manual from Naparima Girls High School in Trinidad. What started as my mother's inspiration many years ago has turned into a career that I love and am very proud of. So here I am, my mother's son, who has spent 38 years in the kitchen, perfecting my craft. I now want to share what I've learned with all of you in a place I can call my own.With the help of my wonderfully supportive wife, Gilda and my wonderful family behind me, I look forward to what's to come. We celebrated my husband’s 30th birthday at SkyHigh and we were not disappointed - we had an incredible dinner for a great price. The service was excellent and we were thoroughly impressed! Will definitely be back.

We typically go to the busy, crowded brunch places in Philly. However, we wanted to try a location with excellent food and the ability to talk w/o screaming. 1682 was perfect—a great holiday ambiance with excellent eggs benedict (we had salmon and roasted pork) and many other choices like pumpkin spice oatmeal that I'll come back for.
