A new, growing-led “British Tapas” restaurant from the teams behind Chef's Table and Growing @Field 28. The menu features an inventive and daily-changing selection of vegetarian, vegan, meat, fish and game plates, each dish is crafted from Field 28's daily harvest of pesticide and biocide-free heritage produce and specialist leaf, served alongside a selection of hand-crafted cordials, cocktails and wines. Lunch Offer : 3 Plates for £20, served at lunch Thursday-Saturday. Please note we are a separate restaurant to Chef's Table. We are currently unable to accept cash at our new premises and are card-only.

AA 2 Rosette restaurant. The Forge Restaurant in Chester is one of Chester’s best restaurants with delicious food and unrivalled service. With a passion for wild, sustainable British ingredients, and a love of simple cooking over fire and charcoal. The Forge has its kitchen front and centre in the middle of this lovely, and elegant space. Incredible dry-aged beef and wild venison will be found in the maturation cabinets, awaiting their turn on the amazing forge grill, to be lovingly grilled and roasted over beech logs. Head chef Dan Regan, a passionate chef, heads up the young, vibrant team in the kitchen. Combining amazing, wild, sustainable ingredients from land and sea into sumptuous creations that form really memorable eating experiences. We focus on British ingredients, as local to Chester. Our venison, always a hugely popular part of our menus, is harvested from herds on estates that focus on improving biodiversity and deer health – a process we call Farming the Wild.

Lunch Menu - Two Courses for £30 / Three Courses for £35We are an independent restaurant in the heart of Chester offering microseasonal dining with menus designed around what's growing on our farm in Daresbury. Menus change every four to six weeks. Happy Hour is available in our lounge from 4-6pm on Thursday-Saturday with "Two for £15" Cocktails, wine and beer specials. Please note we are currently card-only and unable to accept cash. Meat / Game / Pescatarian / Vegetarian / Vegan / GF / DF- - -If your preferred time is not available please make a note on your reservation and we will try our best to accommodate you in the event of a cancellation.     Another fabulous meal at the Chef's Table, the food is always spectacular and the service warm and genuinely friendly. Lobster tail to start with Venison marinated in sloe gin as a main finishing with Christmas pudding was a great way to start our Christmas. Thank you Liam and the team, you are a magician!!!

    There’s normal restaurant food and there’s elite bistros food - it a big difference and for a small price difference. We had a most glorious Christmas Eve lunch with 8 adults and 3 toddlers and felt like we were in a private dining room. Service was superb, food was excellent and the family atmosphere was memorably calm and loving. Thanks sticky walnut for such a great start to Christmas.

    The staff were absolutely amazing, polite, conversational and welcoming. The plant burger was the best burger I have ever had and Szechuan chips were the best I have ever had too. Lovely restaurant and experience that made mine and my wife’s visit to Chester an amazing finish. Please stay true to being polite, interested and valuing your customers. Amazing thank you and have a lovely Christmas.
