Book in advance to treat yourself and your friends to some great conversation and a chance to catch up over Afternoon Tea at the Inverness Palace. The tradition started in early 1800’s with the Duchess of Bedford having that “sinking feeling” in the afternoon as it was normal for only 2 meals a day. The Duchess started the tradition of a pot of tea and a light bites which she later went on to invite friends too attend at Woburn Abbey. The concept of “afternoon tea” took off an became part of high society!
