Hawksmoor Wood Wharf is housed in an eco-friendly floating pavilion in a new riverside neighbourhood in Canary Wharf. Gently rising and falling with the tide, the main restaurant at dock-level is joined by a 120-seat waterside bar. Both include terraces with views across the water (squint your eyes and you might just see the ghosts of great ships laden with mighty lengths of timber that used to swing in and unload there). Because it is not a huge restaurant, I always feel that when I eat here it is more intimate and personal. You are able to have a conversation without it being too noisy and I’ve always found the food to be a good quality. Sometimes the service is slow but generally we always leave the feeling satisfied.

A delicious meal in lovely surroundings. The staff were very attentive and paid particular attention to the fact that my husband is a Coeliac and required gluten free food. Our first visit to the Chislehurst branch. We will be back!
