The Hind's Head is a traditional country village pub and restaurant serving freshly made food and quality local cask ales. We are a community owned and managed free house in a very picturesque Shropshire village. We have the more traditional areas of the pub with wood burning stoves, as well as a lovely restaurant and welcoming orangery for all our guests to enjoy food, drinks and good company. We offer two wine lists as well as a great selection of cask ales, lagers and ciders. The views from the front of the pub have a perfect picture post card view of St Chad's Church in the centre of the village. While we offer traditional pub classics like freshly made pies and fish and chips, we also regularly offer specials that our chefs create weekly and do a lovely Sunday roast dinner that is extremely popular. Great service, with very attentive and helpful staff. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed. The food was delicious. We especially enjoyed the bone marrow with onions appetizer. The dish we wanted to try was sold out (the chateaubriand), so we opted for a rib eye and rump instead. We ordered three sides, all of which were delicious. The steaks were delicious , although the rib eye was tad over our preferred done-ness, and a the rump was a little tougher than we expected. The staff listened to our feedback and gave us a discount. We appreciate how seriously they took our feedback despite us assuring them the food was still good. This shows how important the customer experience is to them. Thank you.
