Managed to book a table last minute on a Saturday when the restaurant was in full swing. Busy and bustling but not so noisy that we couldn't converse, and service was friendly and attentive. Ordered the cote du boeuf to share and a bottle of Malbec Reserve. Although the chips and peppercorn sauce were a little cold, the flavour made up for it. Enjoyed the sauteed mushroom side. A filling meal and felt like good value for steak in central London on a Saturday night.

Went here for my birthday and the staff were so lovely and accommodating, such good value for money would recommend 100%

Lovely! This long-established restaurant always meets hopes and expectations. Friendly efficient staff, steaks cooked as requested, lovely ambience --- and boyfriend took me there first in the middle 1970s I think (or early 80s? Thinks it was 70s).The standard has been maintained through every visit AND we have lovely music if we pick our timing right too

Great place to watch live football, Tom who was behind the bar was very happy to talk all things football whilst we waited for our game to kick off, beers were priced fairly for the area and the selection was decent too. Food looked great however we didn’t eat so only gave it 4 stars based on how others looked and smelled! We’ll definitely be back!

Splendid affair as usual, popped in for a couple. Ended up having a load of bar snacks and watched the cricket which they very kindly put on. Ale was spot on which is impressive at a quiet time of the year. Bound to return (again)
