Outdoor dining and take-out available everyday. Scratch features today's American cookery in an elegant setting. The cuisine is based on the premise of simple food done well and draws from American classics reflecting today's influences and bounty of ingredients. Choose from a tender moist braised short rib, fried chicken, or perhaps a selection from our fresh seafood and oyster bar.For beverages Scratch has researched some of the finest vineyards and distilleries in the United States. We have a wide variety of wines and spirits to choose from in all price ranges. Some of our wine and spirits are highly allocated and will not always be available.Scratch also offers a vegetarian menu and a gluten free menu. Join us for happy hour Monday through Friday from 4 pm to 6 pm in the bar and on the patio.

We will have a farm to table concept, using local and organic produce, and sustainable seafood. Our kitchen houses a Hibachi Grill, and all of our breads and desserts are house made. Sekoya, pronounced just like “Sequoia,” means just that.     First visit to Scratch in Mountain View and overall I rate it a solid 4 all around. Located in upbeat and trendy Castro Street. Our party of three enjoyed good food and drinks in a pleasant atmosphere. The staff was courteous and attentive. We endulged in the Fried Chicken with Baked Beans and delicious Cornbread. Accompanied with a side order of Macaroni and Cheese. We also ordered The Seafood Ciopinno and a gourmet style Hamburger with Bacon and a Side Salad with a Creamy Vinaigrette. I started my meal with a Single Malt Whiskey that paired wonderfully wth my Bacon Burger! Dressy Casual I believe to be suitable attire. The bill for the dinner and drinks wasn't too bad. Would definitely return

    Came for the Valentines Day special and had the tasting menu - food was excellent and the dishes had very complex textures and flavors, and everything was clearly curated very carefully and intentionally. The staff was surprisingly attentive and pleasant despite how busy it got, and they even took the time to take a polaroid of us and present us our photo with a small paper flower. 100% would return
