You guys HAVE to try Ten Foot Henry! We had such an amazing dinner here - literally everything we tried was a hit. The tuna crudo was perfect, and don't sleep on their gochujang cauliflower (perfectly cooked, not mushy at all). The steak was just chef's kiss - they clearly use top-quality meat and know exactly how to cook it. But can we talk about that chicken? SO juicy with this incredible sauce that had us all swooning. The pastas were total winners too - both the cacio e pepe spaghetti and the gigli were delish. And okay, this might sound weird, but their CABBAGE dish was mind-blowing! Even my toddler couldn't get enough, which is saying something! Quick heads up for parents - while this isn't really a kid-focused spot (definitely no chicken fingers or coloring books here), we actually had a great time with our little one. Just come prepared with a backup plan for takeout if things get squirmy. The vibe is definitely more adult and it's usually packed, but our kiddo surprised us by loving everything! Make sure you save room for dessert - the cheesecake cream puffs were the perfect sweet ending. Only tiny downside is it gets pretty loud in there, so expect to raise your voice a bit across the table. But honestly? Totally worth it for food this good!

We were travel weary and wanted a good brunch before an afternoon snooze. Google pointed us to River Cafe and to our delight, it was perfect in every way. The views outside, the ambience, the staff, the food = perfection. The only thing that would bring me back to Calgary (sorry, Calgary) is the thought of another meal at River Cafe.

Long-time friends and I met for pre-Xmas lunch. The restaurant was quiet. Service was responsive. I had the Oscars Sirloin Lobster. Steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare, and the sauce was delicious. The friends had the tacos and steak sandwich. Both of which were also perfectly cooked. Found the cocktails and mocktails to be sickly sweet. Nice flavours, but way too sugary. That would be a simple fix. The sticky toffee pudding and the rocky mountain madness were both delicious. Based on all of this, I'd definitely return. Word of warning. If you have an actual food allergy, double-check everything. The fryer cooks it all - fries, fish, rings, etc. Potentially deadly for someone with a severe seafood allergy.

Food was great. Everyone was happy with their meals. Top marks to the kitchen. Our server was pleasant and friendly but not attentive. We couldn’t tell if the team was short staffed as we only saw 2-3 servers looking after tables. However, that said our server seemed more interested in the table behind us. She stopped there several times to chat with a person in the side but only came by once to check on us. She seems to know the person. She wasn’t the also team member who stopped in multiple times to chat but not touch our table. It took about 20 min to get our check, we had to ask the other server. Also this not the first time I’ve experienced a server giving more attention to a table of friends, co-workers or someone they knew over a table I’ve been at. In fact my best service has been when I’ve been on my own versus coming in with my family. Food and beer selection are great and we want to come back so hopefully we can see this improved.

Enjoyed very much the Thai Shrimp Bowl and the Dragon Boat Lettuce Wraps. Service was outstanding.
