Welcome to Down the Hatch - EDINBURGH!We are a diner focusing on diner style food with big flavour, fresh ingredients, huge taste and all things Canadian!! Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult and are not permitted from 8pm onwards. We have a 10 minute grace period for your booking. Really pleased with the newly refurbished venue. However the music got turned up part way through our visit and it did seem a bit too loud. It was quite hard to hear others in our group speak.

Great reception on arrival. Prompt and professional service throughout. Food was outstanding as always. Portions were big too. Love going here. Better atmosphere than Port Edgar.

Highly recommend Paloma Tacos, really friendly staff and fun atmosphere! The food was so tasty and surprisingly filling, great cocktails too. My family and I visited for my birthday and we were given complimentary coffee tequila shots which were delicious. My brother is coeliac so the entire gluten-free menu was such a treat for him.

On a lovely sunny afternoon the 8th floor was looking gorgeous. Views amazing, of course. Nice buzz. The staff are very attentive without being intrusive. Food beautifully prepared. My only criticism would be around the size of the portions - a snack, rather than a meal?? Let's hope the gigantic construction site next door at Ocean Terminal will not be putting people off!
