Founding Fathers DC is a fantastic spot for those craving Southern-inspired cuisine. The menu offers hearty options for lunch and dinner, showcasing classic dishes with bold flavors. For breakfast enthusiasts, the selection is just as impressive, featuring fluffy biscuits, indulgent beignets, waffles, and decadent French toast. We visited during brunch and decided to explore the heavier lunch menu. Every dish was perfectly executed, balancing rich Southern flavors with refined presentation. A standout moment of our meal was dessert — the vanilla bean cheesecake was divine, with a creamy texture and just the right hint of sweetness. It’s a must-try! A word of advice: make a reservation. The restaurant’s popularity means long lines, especially during peak hours. Founding Fathers DC is a delightful blend of Southern charm and culinary excellence, and it’s well worth the visit!

Mine was a business meeting. This is a delightful restaurant, with delicious cuisine. Added bonus is convenient and free parking.

Servers were friendly, welcoming, and attentive. While food was good, we had one cocktail each and a couple of appetizers for 3. Bill was over $200, 20% gratuity auto-added and then asked to provide more tip on the receipt.

Very creative and delicious food and drinks. Had the Guava margaritas. One virgin and one regular. They were both good and found that the taste became better once paired with the crab guacamole. I also had another mango margarita that was sweeter and more to my liking. The crab guacamole was our favorite of the three dishes we had. The short rib tacos were beautifully presented and delicious. Nice spices. The wagu empanadas were tasty but not as good as the other two for us. The staff is great and very friendly.

This was the first time visit for most of us in the group, at the recommendation of one of the family members to try Chasin’ Tails. We certainly were not disappointed at all. The food was very good, including the appetizers and the shared group meals. Although not a cheap eats restaurant by any means, the dishes and shared seafood boils were plentiful. Our drinks from the menu were very good too. It was not too busy of an evening so our service met our expectations. To end the meal, the limited season pumpkin spice beignets were excellent, well made and perfect with the sauce and icecream. We highly recommend this restaurant and the location which has easy access and parking.
