Poppies in Hanbury Street was Pop’s first restaurant and the one where the journey began. The retro-diner and takeaway is close to Pop’s heart as it brought 70year old Pat out of retirement. It fulfilled his lifelong dream of opening an East End chippie and a desire to offer customers a taste of the old East End.

Fran's is a neighbourhood caff on Wilton Way, offering British and Italian comfort food. All day English breakfast, fry ups, fresh handmade pasta. We welcome walk-ins throughout the day and take bookings for our evening menu from 5.30pm Thursday to Saturday. On Sunday we have our all day breakfast and weekend lunch menu until 3pm. We have our Wine Bar a few doors down, if you would like to visit pre dinner or while waiting for a table.Please be advised we do not take reservations for Breakfast or Lunch. Hidden gem. Perfect place to disconnect from the noisy and stressful London life, enjoying delicious food prepared with delicacy. Francesco is a great guy and a better chef, always attentive and professional. My partner and I always order the spaghetti with avocato, anchovies cream and kalamata olives. I am pretty sure all dishes are divine, but we are just obsessed with that one. Tiramisú is also heavenly

Good value, informal neighbourhood restaurant run by a young, passionate team. The food is a real home cooked offering, accompanied by a reasonably price, well selected set of wines. Every mouthful is delicious, making it hard to choose from the small menu. The ragu was superb. You could taste the quality of the ingredients. Same with hot chocolate pot dessert. No fuss, no pretence. I'll definately be a regular here.

Lovely pop up and one night experience to promote and remember the times people had to ration back in the 1940's. Would go to one of these again, food was yummy!
