Forged from the fires of Covington, Ky. Opal is a casual, chef-driven, fine-dining restaurant that offers wood-fired grilled foods, craft cocktails, and a curated wine menu using locally focused products. The menu, developed by the company's culinary director, Chef Eric Polhamus, features Contemporary American dishes. Opal is the third restaurant installment in the portfolio of Bill and Morgan Whitlow. Opals are known to be the stone that represents justice, harmony, protection, love and passion. Just like the gemstone, Opal Rooftop Restaurant & Bar is different from every angle you approach it from. Patrons will enjoy a 360-degree backdrop of downtown Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky or dine indoors as the flames from the unique Grillworks grill reflect off of the bar.     Fantastic food and ambiance. The service was very attentive. There is a lounge that abuts the dining space that is just lovely for an after dinner drink. The only drawback was that the lounge’s DJ was gone by 9:30.

    Wonderful anniversary dinner location! Could come here for Marsala mushrooms alone. However the Burrata, house salad, ribeye, and charred onion mashed potatoes were excellent! And the butter cake for dessert…just WOW. One of us didn’t have room for dessert but once they tried it …well let’s just say I had a lot of help eating it! Thank you Losanti! Our experiences eating out on January 1 have typically not been good as the chef is rarely on site the day after New Year’s Eve but you folks were perfect!! We will be back…often!

    Excellent food, well prepared, very conscientious and prompt service. Ambience and views were noteworthy. Will definitely return especially when the rooftop deck is open!
