This is the place I always suggest to friends when downtown. The service, food, drinks & atmosphere are always beyond exceptional. A huge thanks to the staff for always bringing their A game and making each visit feel so special.

We have been to Joey’s many times in Vancouver and other Joey locations in Toronto but Joey King West is definitely a step up. Fabulous ambiance and decor and they offer unique items not available on the regular Joey menu. Great service, very knowledgeable about the menu and attentive but not rushed. The spicy crab dip was a nice sharable appetizer. My only criticism was the wine. I selected a BOTTLE of Italian super Tuscan from the wine list. When it came out in a carafe I asked the server if I could see the bottle. She told me that it was “on tap”. Really?????? Have never experienced this before anywhere. And not surprisingly, it was sub par.

Our experience was amazing from the time we walked in to the time we left. They really do value the customer, I asked one gentleman where the washroom was and he escorted me all the way there. Our waitress, did not catch her name unfortunately, was outstanding! She introduced us to a new wine, and was very knowledgeable about the wine! They even offered my partner and I a complimentary dessert for our anniversary! Will definitely be returning!

The minestrone was one of the best soups I have ever had. I ate the whole bowl which I rarely do for a starter. The croque Madame was good but hard to eat because of the eggs on top of it. The salad was nice. The Don Valley Violette had grapefruit in it but it was not overwhelming. It was refreshing. Overall, it was very good meal.

Love it here my favorite restaurant in Toronto. Working a very NYC vibe in Kensington market with phenomenal staff, delicious food in a fun comfortable arty room. Sat at the kitchen bar: a front row seat to watching the chefs do their magic. Last night was a special tasting menu, highlights for me were the Crueler with Crab, the green chili, pancetta and collard paparadelle and the delicious sour dough. A perfect evening with a shout out to Rob the sommelier and my waiter who made the night with his attentive, friendly and knowledgeable service.
