David Burke Tavern is a modern American restaurant by award-winning Celebrity Chef David Burke. Situated on the first two stories of a stately townhouse on New York City’s Upper East Side, the restaurant showcases Burke’s creative and contemporary approach to classic fare – often with showstopping presentations.     We have been to Kween 5 times now: the drag brunch was awesome. Fredda is great and such an amazing artist. The food is on point, I def recommend the burger, empanadas, guacamole, chilaquiles, and anything off their drink menu. The happy hour deals are also really good, I recommend the thursday night for their happy hour.

    We came at 7pm on a Friday (made a reservation) before the place got filled… and by 8pm is was hopping. From the look of it everyone was having a great time. It’s a cozy dark interior made to be more intimate than many brighter spots. Lots of “regulars.” Service was super attentive without being on top of you. Even the “bus boys” were gracious and concerned if you were enjoying everything. The food: Salads and soups were delicious, abundant and nicely presented. Bronzino and pasta were delicious (although the ravioli could have been warmer). All delicious. The point being: screw ordering in. Go out. Go to Sojour.

    The food was amazing. I would suggest the shrimp mofongo. The ambience is very tight so it sometimes feels like you are sitting with another party but that’s NYC. I would highly suggest it.
